The 35th or Sussex Regiment, aka "The Orange Lillies".
Their orange facings were granted as a special favor by King WIlliam 3rd (House of Orange).

The 56th or West Essex Regiment, aka "The Pompdours", after their facing color.
The men claimed it was the color of Madame de Pompadour's (Louis XV's mistress) undergarments...
